Nina Patic II is a small bakery, founded in 1999, and located in the city of Orhei, Moldova.
With the aim of reducing its energy costs, the company applied for financing from the Moldovan Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (MoSEFF) to replace an old boiler with a new one fuelled with pellets, and for the installation of a modern heat distribution system.
This has not only led to more environmentally friendly operations of the bakery itself, but switching from electricity-based heating to biomass fuel has seen a drastic reduction in the bakery’s operation costs, therefore allowing it to be more competitive.
